"UK has enough helicopters" - Brown

Well, according to Gordon Brown, the UK has enough helicopters in Afghanistan. A view not shared by anyone who actually knows what they are talking about, including the Chief of the Defence Staff.

If news reports from multiple sources are to be believed, what British troops want more than anything else in Afghanistan is helicopters. They can move supplies and people, and if combat helicopters are available then they can provide much-needed air support.

I am literally seething with indignation that Gordon Brown can make such a crass statement. Perhaps a six-month tour of Helmand province would adjust his attitude.
