Fake "internationalservicecheck.com" email

International Service Check (internationalservicecheck.com) is a legitimate mystery shopping company based in Germany. This email claims to come from International Service Check, but does not and it will be some sort of mystery shopping scam instead.

If you accept this job offer, then you will not be dealing with International Service Check.

The email originates from a server at 70.32.113.152 which belongs to Fivecube Pte in Singapore (the server is physically in California), although most likely this is either a compromised server or a customer. An examination of the mail headers indicate that it may originate from 69.92.92.47, a Cable One subscriber in Seminole, Oklahoma. The Reply-To address is adele.green@aol.com althought this is probably fake, so do not assume that it really is someone of that name behind it.

We've seen this scam before, but this type the mystery shopper scam uses a domain of sshopper.net to solicit replies. Avoid.

A mystery shopper scam to avoid, from a domain registered in Russia.

All mail is handled by mx.yandex.ru in Russia, so this does look like a Russian operation. No surprises there.The email address is fairly well known for fraudulent activity too. Avoid.

Mystery Shopper Scam from "Shoppers Guide Ltd"

Mystery shopper scams aren't exactly rare, but they're not as obvious a scam as some others. The basic idea is that once you get roped in, then eventually the sting will come with you laundering stolen money or an advanced fee fraud. There are some details about typical mystery shopper scams here.

The spam originates from 82.128.2.21 in Nigeria.

Mystery Shopper Scam from "linkshare.humanresources@gmail.com"

LinkShare is an affiliate marketing company, this email purports to be from "LinkShare™" (note the nice use of the TM) and states that they are a market research company.. which they are not. Originating IP is 124.243.42.42 in Korea, replies are solicited to a free Gmail account rather than linkshare.com and the email is "from" alerts@careerbuilder.com which surely ain't right.

Basically, this is a standard mystery shopper scam email and it should be avoided at all costs.

"Testkauf" - German language "mystery shopper" scam

For some reason, I've been getting a lot of these German-language spams, mostly originating from Brazil..
Subject: Testkauf

Mitarbeiter fuer Testeinkauf bundesweit gesucht.
Bewerbung bitte an blahblah@yahoo.de
This roughly translates as:

Subject: Test Shopping
Searching nationwide for employees to do test purchasing.
To apply, please contact blahblah@yahoo.de
In each case, the header contain a fake "from" address, the Yahoo! email address changes constantly.. and the mail seems to come from Brazil. This is most likely just a version of the mystery shopper scam, and should be avoided.
