Fake jobs: us-newcareer.com

Operating the same money laundering scam/spam as this batch of domains, and forming part of this very long running scam, the domain us-newcareer.com was freshly registered two days ago.

The jobs offered by anyone soliciting replies to this email address are all criminal activities and should be avoided. The spam email messages may appear to be coming from your own email address, but this is a simple forgery and it does not mean that your computer or mail account is compromised.

Here's an example of the email I received it came from someone by the name of Dick@usa-newcareers.com.

I keep receiving these emails even from my own email address. They flood my spam, but they offer me between $600 and $750 per week. Other than that the email is exactly the same. I have been receiving these for over a week.

I received the same "too good to be true job offer / solicitation" as Shawn, from my own email account, with instructions to respond to Heriberto@usa-newcareers.com. How is this even possible if one's email account
hasn't been hijacked by hackers?

@consultmlcesq - it's incredibly easy to fake the "From" address, it's just a very simple forgery. The protocols that email are built on are ancient and it's a key weakness, so don't worry about it ;)

I am getting a dozen of these every day. Is there any way to stop them and can we find out where they are originating from. Most of them have my email as the sender, others from other individuals, and they all include a long list of receivers in the To: box which is very upsetting since that means my addy is going out to hundreds of other people.

A good spam filter should be able to block them, if you are getting them then it implies that your filter isn't up to scratch.

As to stopping them, well the sender is likely to the the Russian Business Network or some similar "untouchable" Russian outfit. When you realise that many of these jobs are actually laundering stolen money, then you can see just how big this operation is.

For some reason, they seem to be able to operate in Russia and other countries without interference from law enforcement. I wonder why?

Best way to prevent these? Use a mail program such as Outlook that allows rules based on content in the email, and add "usa-newcareers.com" to it. I'm getting the same emails but with a different domain, simply "usanewcareer.com." I wrote a nice email to "all@usanewcareer.com," which I'm hoping is the global mail list for the domain, and I hope they enjoy as much spam back as they send us.
